Why the name Camuflo?
Because out on the street your phone goes unnoticed: whoever grabs it does not reach your apps. And at events you choose what to show.
Can I control my phone from a computer?
Yes. Go to app.camuflo.com from any browser, with the same account. There you lock the phone, sound an alarm, see where it is and turn on Street Mode.
Does Camuflo lock the iPhone screen?
No. No app can lock the iPhone screen remotely. Camuflo locks every app. To lock the screen, use "Mark as Lost" in Apple's Find My: app.camuflo.com has the link ready.
What about Android?
Android is coming soon to Google Play. There, the apps you chose stay on the screen but locked: whoever opens one sees Camuflo asking for your fingerprint. In Street Mode, Settings and the Play Store lock too, so no one can uninstall Camuflo. From a browser, the screen locks right away. Family, Guardians and events work the same, at the same price.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Without paying anything you get the theft kit (lock, sound an alarm and see where it is), protect 1 app, send live location links and join events as a guest. The subscription unlocks Street Mode, unlimited apps, Family groups and creating events. Every plan starts with 7 days free.
What about kids?
To limit apps and screen time, Camuflo shows you the way in what the phone already has: Screen Time and Family Sharing on iPhone, Google Family Link on Android. The map and Guardians work the same.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Street Mode runs on the phone itself. What you send from a browser waits and arrives as soon as the phone is back online, usually within seconds.
Can Camuflo see my messages or banking passwords?
No. It only decides whether the apps you chose open. App content never reaches us.
Does it replace Apple's Find My?
No, it complements it. Locking the screen or erasing the iPhone is still done in Find My. Camuflo protects your apps before a theft and helps with what to do after.
When will it be on the App Store?
We are testing the iPhone version. Meanwhile, the web app shows how everything works and the after-theft guide is ready to use.
Do people I invite to an event have to pay?
No. Joining an event as a guest is free, with map and chat. Creating events is part of the subscription, with up to 256 people.
What is the difference between a private and a public event?
A private event exists only for people who got the invite: outsiders never see the map or who is going. A public event opens from its link, even without an account, with a live map and chat.
Is there an event chat?
Yes, in public events: text, emojis and stickers. Links aren’t allowed (against scams and viruses), swear words are blocked and the admins moderate. Messages are deleted 30 days after the event.
