Step by step
Turn on Lost Mode in Find My
On another device, sign in to Find My with your Apple Account. Turn on Lost Mode to lock the iPhone and suspend Apple Pay.
Suspend your SIM with the carrier
Call your carrier and suspend the line. This stops SMS codes and scams in your name.
Call your banks
Call each bank, block cards and mobile access, and lower your transfer limits.
File a police report
Report the theft to local police and keep the report number for your carrier, insurer and banks.
Ask to block the IMEI
With the police report, your carrier can block the device on all networks. The IMEI is on the box or the receipt.
Change your main passwords
Change your Apple Account, email and social media passwords. Sign out of sessions on the stolen device.
Next time, your apps will already be hidden
With Camuflo Street Mode, your banking, chat and email apps disappear from the iPhone Home Screen while you are out. Whoever takes your unlocked phone won’t find what they are looking for.
Common questions
Should I erase my iPhone remotely right away?
Turn on Lost Mode first: the phone stays locked and can still be located. Erase it only when you are sure you won’t get it back, because after that it disappears from Find My.
Who should I call first, my carrier or the police?
Lock the phone with Lost Mode, then call your carrier and banks: they stop SMS codes and payments. File the police report right after.
Where do I find the IMEI?
On the box, on the receipt, or in the device list of your Apple Account at account.apple.com.
